Engineering Manager (Pack Design)

Job Responsibility

• Responsible for the developing the best-in-class HV battery pack systems at Gotion
• Responsible for track and incubate advanced cell and pack design concept
• Responsible for shaping and executing Gotion’s technology roadmap of product design
• Lead the full development chain of a HV battery back from requirement and concept, architecture and design, to prototyping to validation
• Work with cross functional teams including R&D, cell development, product, marketing to deliver the best product to Gotion’s global customers

Key Qualification

• MS in Engineering, PhD highly valued.
• Experience leading high voltage battery pack design including requirements, concept, architecture, design, V&V and prototyping
• Experience managing external companies with “build to spec” and “build to print” working relationship
• Experience managing a team, including growing team members, planning their work, and keeping roles and responsibilities clear
• Works well cross functionally with other mechanical teams, reliability, software, controls, and EMC engineers, among others.
• Must have the ability to parse through a complex, cross functional, multi-customer engineering problem to come up with the best solution
