Engineering Manager - Promotions

⬆️ This remote role is open to Latin America and Canada based candidates located within the countries provided here. All candidates must be available during key global collaboration hours, which are generally 8 am -12 pm EST.

The Opportunity:

As an Engineering Manager, you will complement the team in our goal to aim for self-organization. Following our leadership culture, you will facilitate decision making and quality delivery, and act according to our simple principle: We are people, not resources.

Your Mission:

• Prioritize your team’s health, working with our amazing team on a 1:1 level

• Assist your team members in their personal development and growth

• Guide a cross-functional team including a product Manager, UX designer, and backend and frontend developers with a tech stack of TypeScript and React, running on Google Cloud Platform and AWS in an Agile environment

• Assess the landscape of the team’s domain to assist and consult in personal- and team-related questions

• Maintain budget and personnel accountability for the engineering roles within your team

• Work closely with our Engineering Managers on other teams, Tech Heads, Agile Coaches, an HR Business Partner, and the CTO to ensure your team’s growth is properly assisted

What you need to succeed:

• Experience guiding people in a tech environment

• Applied experience in software development and comprehension of software architecture

• Passion for software design and architecture with a heart in automation

• Passion for teamwork

• An excellent level of soft skills—most importantly, empathy

• Comfortable raising issues and driving changes

• Experience working within an Agile environment with focus on the customer view

• Mentality to share and the aspiration to constantly improve yourself and learn about leadership, and new technologies and concepts

• Experience in working with Continuous Integration systems ensuring software quality and allowing automatic releasing

• General experience within the e-commerce space (nice to have)
