About The Role

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager QA to lead and manage a team of QA engineers focused on a select group of products and services at Chainlink particularly CCIP and Capital Markets. This role is critical in ensuring the quality of our products and projects while launching them with the highest standards. You will develop and implement QA strategies improve deployment velocity and enhance reliability and quality.

Your Impact

• Be a leader. You will set the team objectives and make sure that the team is clear on what the objectives are – and more importantly why

• Be a mentor. You will work with engineers on their growth and development making sure that everyone receives timely feedback and has a clear growth plan

• Be a force multiplier. You will continuously remove blockers and obstacles both internal and cross-team so that everyone can do their best work

• Develop and maintain comprehensive Test Plans for CCIP and Capital Markets including all new major features integrations and new product launches.

• Ensure test plans are executed entirely before any launch either manually or through automated execution by the team.

• Enable CCIP/Capital Markets engineers to own quality train stakeholder engineers on QA practices and on-demand testing services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in software development management leading a team of 6+ people.

• Proven track record in leading and managing QA teams including hiring mentoring and developing team members.

• Extensive experience in software testing methodologies test automation frameworks and QA best practices.

• Proficiency in various testing tools (e.g. Playwright JIRA TestRail Go testing) and techniques (e.g. manual testing automated testing performance testing).

• Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of QA engineers.

• Experience working in systems in production environments.

• Prior experience in supporting products that require on-call duties.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience or knowledge of blockchain technology Web3 protocols and the challenges related to developing large distributed systems.

• Experience managing other managers.

• Experience being the technical lead of a product.

• Experience navigating a hyper-growth environment.
