PartsTech seeks a dynamic Engineering Manager focused on Registration, Onboarding, & Retention to lead our global engineering teams. In this pivotal role, you will support our product vision by driving feature development and delivering solutions that significantly improve our users' registration experience. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with SaaS application technologies, especially in enhancing user registration, onboarding, and retention, and a proven track record in managing large-scale, cloud-based applications.

What You’ll Accomplish:

  • Lead engineering teams to embody PartsTechs Operating Principles, fostering a customer-first mindset, commitment, curiosity, humility, and trustworthiness.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage global engineering teams operating on a follow-the-sun model, ensuring efficiency across team sizes of 8-10+ members.
  • Align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs through a product engineering approach.
  • Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and process optimization to enhance project outcomes.
  • Cultivate strong leadership skills in hiring, coaching, and performance management to build high-performing teams.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize product requirements and roadmap priorities.
  • Leverage customer feedback and market insights to guide the development of registration, onboarding, and retention features.
  • Champion software reliability, scalability, and performance by adhering to engineering best practices and quality assurance standards.
  • Design and implement scalable B2B SaaS solutions for registration, onboarding, and retention, addressing complex user needs.
  • Stay at the forefront of SaaS product development technologies and trends to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Ensure seamless integration of user-centric features into the PartsTech platform, enhancing the overall user experience.
  • Lead the optimization of engineering processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

Who You Are:

General

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone in either the US or Canada.

Leadership

  • 8-10 years of proven experience in product engineering leadership roles, including 3-5 years of management experience, with a focus on registration, onboarding, & retention technologies within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience leading global teams, preferably with 2-3 years using a follow-the-sun model.
  • Demonstrated ability in planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expenses, and implementing methodological changes.
  • Prior experience working with teams in Eastern Europe, with a preference for experience with Ukrainian teams.

Technology

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with AWS or other public cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), SaaS application development/support, CI/CD practices, containerization, Kubernetes, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong technical proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, and building scalable and performant SaaS solutions.
  • Familiarity with React JS or other front-end frameworks; ability to develop effective engineering practices and processes.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL/gRPC.
  • Familiarity with PHP/Symfony.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SaaS registration & retention, ideally in online or marketplace high-volume sites.
  • Previous experience in the automotive, B2B online marketplaces, or SaaS industry; AWS certifications are considered a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and influencing technical and strategic decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to product development and optimization.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha!, or equivalent product engineering collaboration tools.
  • A passion for innovation, with a customer-centric mindset focused on delivering exceptional user experiences.

Nice to Have:

Leadership

  • Experience building and scaling teams as both a player and a coach, in particular in Eastern Europe.

Technology

  • Full stack engineering experience (7+ years).
