What we're looking for
We’re looking for an experienced engineer and manager to lead a cross-functional team in building and scaling Vacasa’s rapidly growing Salesforce solution.Â
What you'll do
- Partner closely with a dedicated product manager and technical architect to deliver valuable outcomes for the business through the Salesforce platform
- Manage a cross-functional team of Salesforce specialists with accountability for the team’s output and growth
- Foster a healthy and collaborative team culture where you lead by example, operate with empathy and understanding, and provide space for all team members to contribute and grow
- Enable other internal product engineering teams to leverage Salesforce as an integration point for accelerating value delivery across the technology department.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers on the team, from those in early stages of their career to those on a leadership development track
- Collaborate with technology, product and business stakeholders for ongoing prioritization, resource allocation and tracking of the team deliverables
- Learn the Vacasa systems integrated with Salesforce and have a deep understanding of the impact of architectural changes across systems
- Roll up sleeves in order to design and build custom Salesforce solutions when needed
- Review the team’s work and provide recommendations via code reviews and discussion
- Build toward higher quality standards and work with the team to create robust testing capabilities
- Ensure appropriate monitoring and instrumentation for production systems
- Explore new technologies and validate concepts to help the team choose the right tools for the job
Skills you'll needÂ
- 1+ year experience managing and mentoring a team
- 5+ years experience building solutions on top of Salesforce
- Proven technical chops in utilizing Apex, SOQL, Lightning, Javascript and Object customization to deliver value. Â
- Experience facilitating technical discussions and discovery that lead to informed decisions and solutions
- Strong working knowledge of databases
- Experience building and integrating with systems outside of Salesforce

Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MT, NC, NH, NM, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY
You’ll be working in your home office setting. We hold virtual training sessions and weekly team meeting. Occasional offsite team meetings in your region or our HQ locations. Requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Requires patient, professional communication with prospective clients, and the ability to build confidence with prospects.
Compensation
- $155000 - $185000 / base salaryÂ
