The Manager Full Stack Engineering, eComm Technologies, is a management role who serves as a delivery partner across the Commerce and Consumer Engagement teams. This role's main responsibility is to lead a team of technical solution and delivery squads. They drive execution of technical solutions across the eComm landscape, collaborate on short- and long-term technical product vision and strategy, solution architecture, and implementation patterns that align with the enterprise standards. They evaluate the functionality of applications and technologies. They seek a balance between technical excellence and timely delivery while continually seeking to improve engineering practices. They are passionate about growing the skills and capabilities of the engineering team.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswear's Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable IT Solutions across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support e-Commerce, in-store technology, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

They drive execution of technical solutions across the eComm landscape, collaborate on short- and long-term technical product vision and strategy, solution architecture, and implementation patterns that align with the enterprise standards. They evaluate the functionality of applications and technologies. They seek a balance between technical excellence and timely delivery while continually seeking to improve engineering practices. They are passionate about growing the skills and capabilities of the engineering team.
The ideal candidate has experience with technology-enabled eCommerce capabilities with a demonstrated track-record for delighting customers and driving complex technical solutions. The Manager Full Stack Engineering will be a strong analytical thinker who has proven skills solving complex technical problems, implementing technology roadmaps, and developing successful strategic plans using industry benchmarking to execute in highly ambiguous and innovative problem spaces. They have a track record delivering high-quality technical solutions on-time and on-budget. They thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments and have very strong communication and presentation skills. They are constantly curious, seek to understand the business environment and needs, and drive for technical excellence while balancing multiple needs.
The Manager Full Stack Engineering is a proven technical leader who leads teams that are supporting the current business applications while driving new solutions as Columbia Sportswear Company moves forward in expanding its Global Omni-Channel Commerce capabilities.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Provide technical solutions for products that are focused on processes, systems, applications, and technologies in areas across eCommerce including Loyalty, Marketing, and Sales.
- Participate in product evaluations to enhance the Commerce technology landscape
- Document and proficiently explain complex architecture patterns to technical and functional peers and as needed and to other levels of the organization.
- Participate in Solution Architecture reviews with program and product teams prior to design and development activities and ensure the solution is scalable, is aligned with internal product roadmaps, and meets the business requirements.
- Translation of business needs into technical requirements, resource alignment and balancing, and estimation of the financial impact of solution alternatives.
- Educate and guide delivery teams in technical pattern and techniques
- Invest in the growth of individual team members
- Collaborate across Columbia Digital Technology with solution architects, Quality Engineering, and technology leadership
- Stay at the forefront of new and/or upcoming Commerce solutions and drive the future solution roadmap.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor
YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field. Relevant work experience in lieu of degree may be considered
- 10+ years of experience engineering high-volume, highly available applications in AWS and/or Azure cloud environment
- Experience with modern cloud architecture patterns
- Track record delivering high-volume, high-accuracy, high-resilient applications
- Deep knowledge of Commerce business processes.
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum preferred) including breaking down architecture vision into components that can deliver value incrementally
- Ability to learn and understand key business processes and systems employed by the business
- Experience & thought leadership with the following functional / systems areas are preferred:
- eCommerce (SalesForce Commerce Cloud)
- Payment Systems
- Order Management
- Consumer personalization
- Technical skills include AWS, Node.js (Javascript), data modeling.
- SalesForce experience preferred
