This dynamic role will support a wide range of strategic infrastructure-related efforts that will transform how PayPal operates and executes in the future. Lessons learned are utilized to improve processes and influence the overall organization to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

Your day to day

The Program Manager will be responsible for scope, budget, planning, communication, risk management, and project management for one or more infrastructure and operations related programs. This candidate will have deep experience and understanding of technology, project management, change management, and organizational dynamics; able to navigate the organization as a champion, change agent, and strategic partner at all levels.

What do you need to bring-

• Lead by example. Actively coach Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Delivery teams in order to promote successful adoption of agile practices. Cover key management roles as needed to ensure the success of program delivery efforts.
• Drive the coordinated management of large, complex programs over a finite period of time in order to achieve specific business goals. Ensure the timely delivery of business value and the efficient use of organizational resources.
• Partner with Business and Technology leadership to establish a solid understanding of the vision, purpose and expected business benefits of a program. Ensure measurable KPIs are defined and aligned to company goals and objectives.

We are seeking

• Program Manager with 9+ years of IT experience, preferably with 4+ years of exposure in IT infrastructure
• Working knowledge and demonstration of projects spanning across technologies such as server, network, storage, database, and application tools
• Extensive knowledge of project and program management processes, tools, templates, and management techniques
• Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across organizational boundaries to drive closure of complex delivery challenges
• Customer-focused and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Successful track record of managing large, complex programs that deliver technical solutions across multiple project teams and organizational units that meet agreed-upon business objectives and performance metrics
• Proven ability to develop effective, matrixed, cross-organization relationships, collaborating and communicating across business and technology stakeholders and multiple geographies
• Strong technical acumen, able to ensure that technical solutions, strategies, practices, and governance deliver business and customer value
• Deep knowledge of project management process, project management tools, and management techniques
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA/ServiceNow, MS Office, Smartsheets/Clarizen, Collaboration tools (Slack, Skype, etc.)
