We give everyone-from emerging artists to global brands-everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We're passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.

We're on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

Adobe Research is a forward-looking technology research and development organization. We are a team of elite research scientists and engineers who explore, develop, and deliver breakthrough technology innovations for Adobe's products. Many Adobe product-defining features and technologies are developed in Adobe Research!

The Sr. Engineering Program Manager will lead the transformation of Adobe Research from a technology-centric organization to a customer-centric one, passionate about the exploration, invention, and deployment of the most impactful, innovative technologies for Adobe's products. The role will focus on implementing a customer-centric innovation approach and driving execution to deliver top-priority innovation outcomes in partnership with Research and product teams. The role is central in establishing a customer-centric approach in an organization where balancing end-user needs and the needs for long-term research are critical to the health of Adobe innovation. This is an impactful role that will ensure the delivery of key outcomes, such as high-value technologies for end users and high product team satisfaction with the Research partnership

What You Will Do

  • Evangelize the vision for customer-centricity within a research organization, using insights and feedback from product teams and Research members.
  • Drive the establishment and implementation of the co-innovation engagement model, in collaboration with product and Research teams, and Research operations and communications managers.
  • Lead all aspects of, coordinate, and facilitate Research's engagements with product teams.
  • Implement and run a cadence of product team/Research engagement reviews of product strategy and innovation priorities, desired outcomes and measures of success, engagement status, and risk management.
  • Establish and run feedback and metrics systems to figure out the value of Research technologies to product end users, and to assess the product team satisfaction with the Research partnership.
  • Successfully balance the tradeoffs between Research goals and Product team goals to deliver jointly agreed to outcomes.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field is preferred.
  • Significant prior experience in customer-facing roles, project / program management and working in a technology or research organization.
  • Experience in defining, implementing, launching, and optimally leading high-visibility initiatives in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Passion for problem solving and ability to think through problems creatively and systematically, to prioritize them, and to identify and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Ability to influence executives, senior leaders, and decision makers, and to gain alignment without direct authority.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
  • High degree of curiosity, flexibility, perseverance, teamwork, and self-motivation.
