Group/Division
With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
KLA is seeking a motivated Engineering Program Manager to provide program management and leadership for multi- functional product development teams. Responsible for the successful development and product release of assigned products, including customer requirements, requirements analysis, developing product specifications, design validations, supplier selection and management, product development, manufacturing, and service.
As a Program Manager you will develop a complete plan of record and lead the team to implement the plan, responsible for meeting the product release dates, product performance, cost, quality, and manufacturing cycle time goals for the next generation of KLA tools!
Primary job responsibilities for this exciting role:
- Lead customer use cases development and fan out engineering requirements, product usage management
- Build and maintain strong working relationship with divisional peers
- Collaborate with divisional and regional sales for revenue growth
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams consisting of project managers, engineers, and other experts (Systems, H/W, S/W, Algorithms, etc.) for project execution
- Collaborate in PLC (Product Life Cycle) to assist development and engineering team in delivering next generation systems to the market
- Support annual strategic planning process to drive future business direction
- Develop evaluation method and metrics to assess projects risks and areas for improvement
- Find opportunities to increase organizational efficiency
- Track and forecast development spending for internal and external teams
- Develop a strong product knowledge
- Lead customer training initiatives
Requirements:
- Experienced Architectural Engineer able to lead and manage globally distributed multifunctional teams with accountability to divisional management for program success Lead customer interactions for project development, technical review meeting, demo, routine customer visits
- Experienced with MS Project or other Project Management Software
- PLC Development process experience
- Previous semiconductor equipment experience is preferred
- Track record of effective communication and collaboration with all functional engineering managers, program managers, marketing, applications, manufacturing, field service and customers.
- Knowledge of the semiconductor capital equipment business with at least 8 years of experience
- Ability to lead multi-functional teams through product development, and strategic planning initiatives
- Ability to develop and fan out new product use cases
- Ability to implement field products research and identify market trend and customer needs
- Technical expertise in semiconductor manufacturing technologies
- Demonstrated solid working relationship with semiconductor industry customers
- Experience with KLA PLC process or demonstrated ability to lead adjacent organizations (Sale, Engineering, Operations Service) through the product introduction process
- Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Travel requirements for this role will include up to 30% domestic and international travel, based on business need.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
