We are looking for a new colleague in the Engineering Project Manager teamfor Commercial Vehicle ADAS products at our location in Farmington Hills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the global, cross-functional engineering project team to execute project work packages from RFI/RFQ phase until SOPand beyond to achieve on time delivery of program engineering development milestones according to internal/external processes and requirements.
- Plan and manage the engineering project schedule including all major engineering activities.
- Define and control technical project scope according to internal/customer requirements. Responsible for engineering change management within the project including technical decision making and cost/recovery management.
- Drive execution of Engineering EEPM development process within the project and ensure on time engineering releases and work product delivery to support GDPIM process and gate releases.
- Coordinate Simultaneous Engineering activities with Operations and Manufacturing to meet Operations goals and Design For Manufacturability (DFM) expectations.
- Lead/support customer technical meetings to demonstrate schedule, technical design and engineering process compliance. Support strategic customer activities such as technology strategy updates.
- Ensure quality of project engineering releases and engineering deliveries to the customer.
- Monitor project process and safety compliance together with EQA.Initiate countermeasures as needed.
- Lead/support field quality analysis/investigations in cooperation with Quality/Operations teams and development teams across disciplines HW/SW/Validation etc.
- Lead/support samples/parts/prototypes preparation and deliverables among internal teams across regions as well as internal or external customers.
- Lead/support customers in the region in terms of product installation, calibration, and integration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degreein Electrical Engineering, required.Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years Automotive Electronics development experience
- Demonstrable ability in design planning & management
- Technical Knowledge & Experience in Electronic Design & Development in the automotive industry
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team & effectively communicate with system, hardware, mechanical, software & validation engineers
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willing and able to adapt quickly to new methods and objectives
