Engineering Senior Manager - Engineering Execution
This position reports to Director of Engineering Operations
What You'll Do:

• Serve as a key conduit within Engineering for engineering execution CONOPS.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to leverage knowledge, strategies, and best practices to improve engineering execution.
• Partner with the Chief Systems Engineer and Chief Project Engineer to cultivate and reinforce documented norms, best practices, and norms.
• Partner with SBU Program Directors and Program Managers to drive a unified execution approach.
• Serve as an independent engineering voice in Ball Aerospace's pursuit to pioneer new processes and approaches for program execution.
• Establish, define, develop, and communicate clear processes, procedures, and training to ensure engineering program execution.
• Provide strong leadership, technical guidance/direction, and overall management of the engineering program/project execution. Responsible for ensuring the teams follow stated strategy and objectives.
• For awarded programs serve as the Engineering representative. Prioritize and communicate ongoing technical issues and concerns and mitigation solution. Ensure timely and effective end-user support. Serve as a focal point and escalation manager within Engineering for incidents related to areas of responsibility.
• Collaborate with Director of Engineering New Business and Implementation to ensure engineering readiness to support new programs.
• Collaborate with Engineering Resource Planning Manager and functional management on engineering staffing needs on programs.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics to ensure engineering is supporting programs and meeting requirements and expectations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, clear communication and consistently follow-up on issues and projects as required.
• Evolve, Chair, and Drive the Engineering Execution CONOPS Forum.
• Attend technical reviews as appropriate.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:

• BS/BA in related field plus 15 years or more related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

Flexible On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three or more days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

• HIRING SALARY RANGE: $171,000 - $235,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
• Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
