Job Description
The Engineering Specialist (ES) is responsible for the planning and management of engineering projects. In details, this figure is in charge of coordinating, monitoring and planning the project, as well as of forecasting its costs and the timing and deadlines that characterise its individual development phases.
The Engineering Specialist has both management and engineering responsibilities, setting up executive work plans, defining the budget, taking care of the technical aspects and coordinating the working team responsible for the project.

- Project planning. The ES is responsible for identifying the best strategy to implement the project and for setting up a detailed work plan of the project development phases (GANTT).
- Internal communication. The ES shall provide timely updates on the progress of the project to its Manager through specific reporting
- External communication. The ES may interact with suppliers, contractors, external agencies or other external figures that may be useful for the completion of the project
- Budget management. The ES is responsible for managing the costs of the project. This includes: cost evaluating, approval of the CAPEX (CAPital EXpenditure) by editing a CAR (Capital Appropriation Request), monitoring and controlling spending.
- Project team management. The ES will have to coordinate, organise and monitor the activities of the team.
- Editing of the URS (User Requirements Specification). The ES is responsible for editing the technical reference document to be prepared for the purchasing of equipment.
- Execution of FAT (Factory Acceptant Test)/SAT (Site Acceptant Test)/Commissioning. The ES is responsible for co-ordinating, planning and monitoring the functional tests to validate the design assumptions listed in the URS.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in the pharmaceutical sector;
- Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering;
- Project Management certification will be considered a plus;
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
