Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
This position may be located in Ankeny, IA or Moline, IL per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.
Your Responsibilities
As an Engineer Supervisor, Crop Care Hydraulics & Routings for Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA or Moline, IL you will:
  • Lead a team of domestic and international design engineers responsible for delivering high quality hydraulic systems and routing designs for Crop Care PDP programs and CI projects
  • Facilitate program/project alignment by collaborating with product line stakeholders to ensure program goals, milestones and quality expectations are met
  • Provide training and support career development for your team to achieve ongoing growth and professional development
  • Execute performance management, succession planning, and resource planning to ensure long term team success
  • Resource and budget planning and tracking to ensure appropriate staffing levels, allocations and material spend management

What Skills You Need
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of engineers to meet time, cost, and performance goals of projects
  • Engineering experience in hydraulic systems development (analysis, design, testing, and/or project leadership).
  • Experience executing the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) or similar processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to build strategic working relationships with stakeholders in a wide variety of functional areas across multiple product lines.
  • Able to provide team vision and workflow direction for domestic and international based teams
  • Clear communication with colleagues in geographically and culturally diverse locations

What Makes You Stand Out
  • 3 or more years of salaried supervision experience with teams at multiple Deere locations
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience in hydraulic systems development
  • 8 or more years of engineering experience in PDP programs and CI projects
  • Experience with agricultural machinery, preferred in Application, Seeding and/or Tillage equipment
  • Experience managing an ETEC team based in Mexico or India
  • Working knowledge of PDP program development and CI ECM release processes

Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
