Key responsibilities include:

-Coordinate Department data requests, audit support, and other administrative duties.

-Maintain and update electric system records.

-Assist engineers in annual reporting such as 411 Report, Worst Performing Circuits, and Performance & Tracking Metrics.

-Assist engineers in data collection for items such as Load Forecasts, Pre-App Reports, & C55 Project submissions.

Track status of key Department planning activities such as DER studies, compliance reporting, etc.

-Develop high level one-line diagrams for potential projects and submit corrections for System Maps.

-Contribute to Department goals, objectives, plans, and performance metrics.

-Follow and adhere to Department policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.

-Other support activities as directed by supervision.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Three or more years of relevant experience (e.g., computer systems, electrical, industrial experience) required. A Bachelor's degree in a related field will be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree preferably in a technical area (e.g., electrical/computer or industrial technology) from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic project lifecycle processes is preferred.
  • Electric utility experience is preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

The Engineering Support Specialist works a standard day shift in a hybrid work environment. Minimal travel may be required. Proficiency in use of computers is required. Familiarity with MS Office suite (e.g., Excel) software products. Must have good analytical skills. Must also have the capability to work on major project teams. Ability to handle multiple assignments/projects and priorities.
