Who we are looking for:
Our IT team is adding an Engineering Systems Lead who can supervise the design, development, implementation and support of Engineering Systems. The scope covers PLM, CAD/CAE, Ancillary Tools, Engineering Desktops, Software Catalog Management, Security Requirements, Data Storage and Management. The first priority will involve the selection and onboarding of a greenfield PLM/PDM and migration of data / process to the new system. This position will collaborate with Engineering Change Management Business owner and key leaders on the Engineering team to ensure that the PLM systems match the business objectives and integrate smoothly with other corporate systems.
What you get to do:
- Create a present and future vision for engineering tools. Validate this vision with leadership roles and implement plans to transition to future vision.
- Lead all aspects of Engineering Tool rollouts that are in scope or collaborate with vendor project managers to make sure rollout projects are within scope, schedule and budget.
- Manage the lifecycle of engineering suite of tools inclusive of the PLM from concept to deployment and maintenance.
- Work with Engineering Leaders to design and develop PLM strategies to support business goals.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate PLM with existing corporate systems.
- Ensure the PLM system is follows industry standards and company policies.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in PLM best practices.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and training materials for end-users.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
- Recommend engineering desktop and software tool / license management.
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in PLM system design and implementation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proven experience as a PLM Architect or similar role.
- Strong understanding of Engineering tools and platforms, including but not limited to: Egnyte, ProjectEx, Catia, and Polarian.
- Proficiency in PLM software (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault Systèmes).
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and their integration with PLM.
- Experience of working with integration to related systems such as our NetSuite ERP, our future QMS and MES.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
