Engineering Team Leader

Catalent’s Nottingham facility focuses on early stage development of small molecule drug candidates from the bench to clinic. This facility offers an array of services that support oral dosage forms that include characterization, formulation and analytical development, manufacturing and clinical packaging, labelling and worldwide distribution.

Catalent Nottingham are looking a Engineering Team Leader to join their engineering team. The Engineering and Maintenance Department is dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the site's utilities, fabric, and equipment. The Engineering Team Leader along with the team is responsible for maintaining infrastructure and assets in compliance with statutory regulations and industry standards. The department plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing operations by minimising downtime and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all engineering systems.

The role:

• Leading, mentoring and developing the team members

• Overseeing maintenance of site utilities, infrastructure, and equipment.

• Managing daily activities and following the tiered system

• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

• Implementing appropriate preventive maintenance programmes.

• Coordinating with external contractors and service providers.

• Ensuring team are compliant with EHS requirements

• Planning and executing engineering projects

• Maintaining project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in a similar engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, utilities management, and statutory regulations.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
