Engineering Team Manager, Domains (Email)

The Domains group is looking for an Engineering Team Manager to help build and grow the Email team! The Email team is responsible for providing customers the ability to create email aliases for their domain as well as provide tools to purchase inboxes for their domains. They aim to build a customer experience that is intuitive for customers that are either Domains only customers or using Squarespace to establish their online presence through websites. 

This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week. You will report to the Engineering Manager.

You'll Get To...

• Manage a team of software engineers, including project planning and technical leadership.
• Take an active role in career development of direct reports through regular 1:1s, direct feedback, coaching etc.
• Own the overall planning, execution, and success of projects that will improve the product experience.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager, Product Designer and Engineering team leadership to develop a team roadmap that balances both product goals and technical investments.
• Collaborate with product teams across the company to execute on the team roadmap. 

Who We're Looking For...

• 2+ years of experience leading teams of three or more engineers.
• People management skills, including a consistent record of mentoring and coaching team members.
• Proven ability to communicate technical issues effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
• Proven ability to create and execute detailed plans accounting for ambiguity, dependencies, and technical complexity

Cash Compensation Range: $153,500 - 247,250 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
