Quanterix is a company that is digitizing biomarker analysis with the goal of advancing the science of precision health. The company’s ultra-sensitive detection solution, Simoa, has the potential to change the way in which healthcare is provided today by giving researchers the ability to closely examine the role of biomarkers in the continuum of health to disease. The technology is currently being used for research applications in several therapeutic areas, including oncology, neurology, cardiology, inflammation and infectious disease.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Engineering Technical Project Lead to join our expanding organization. This position combines experience in device industries standard, technical assessments, and system engineering approach to lead and manage the control of the execution of projects for the current and future generation of instruments. This position reports to the VP Instrument, Engineering.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provides guidance and direction: for the development of “In Vitro Diagnostic” products (IVD), for the compliance with industry standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304
  • Provides guidance & applies advanced technical knowledge and understanding of concepts and principles to manage a wide variety of projects
  • Works on, and/or may lead, complex projects of large scope
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
  • Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to Quanterix established processes and methodologies
  • Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models
  • Provides solutions which may set precedent
  • Independently determines method for completion of new projects
  • Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

What We’ll Expect From You: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, Master’s degree is preferred.  
  • SME in device industries standard such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304 and development of IVD products
  • A minimum of 6+ years related work experience required
  • Experience in life sciences instruments / medical device or industry required
  • Knowledge of critical chain project management techniques and AGILE project management principles
  • Ability to lead team towards operational objectives
