Responsibilities of the Engineering Technical Support include, but are not limited to:

• Provide technical support to sales engineers and customers for the products and services provided by DXP Enterprises, Inc.
• Provide customer service, sales, & technical support to sales force & customers.
• Provide technical support and engineering assessment to DXP repair facility.
• Work closely with sales, fabrication & vendors to facilitate the sales effort & meet customer requirements
• Facilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints & failures
• Aid in the design & development of equipment & systems, & redesign of existing systems
• Understand & implement policy to achieve both customer & company goals
• Provide support to inside sales team, including order entry/processing
• Support training of future inside sales hires
• Provide support and aid in implementation of shop work processes as needed to schedule and document repair activities.
• Provide back up POC for shop service manager.

Qualifications of the Engineering Technical Support include, but are not limited to:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree from accredited engineering program
• 5 or more years engineering experience
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment & fabricated pumping systems is required
• Field operating and maintenance experience highly desired
• Must be able to work independently to achieve targeted results
• Well-organized & self-motivated
• Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
• Effective negotiating skills
• Project management experience and team work skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Training/Certifications: Any related to pumps, motors, couplings, mechanical seals knowledge

Shift Time/Overtime: Overtime not required.

Education: Engineering related bachelor's degree or related experience
