Position Title: Engineers I, 5GaaS Operations

Position duties:

Engineers I, 5GaaS Operations is responsible for front ending corporate customer's (including airport, manufacturing facility, warehouse) 5G network issues, proactive monitoring and execution of proactive and preventive maintenance activities using software programs to interrogate the connected system and enter software commands to operate the system to ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available, meet KPIs and perform at contracted Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels. Drive automation, enable analytics and innovation. Create software scripts to automate continuous monitoring operations 24X7.

Apply hands-on experience with Physical (compute, networking, storage hardware), Virtual (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXI), and Container infrastructure (Kubernetes). Experience creating VM's (Virtual Machines), delete VM's, changing VM properties, deploying Operating Systems on VM's, deploying Network applications on the VM's.

Apply understanding and knowledge of core components of 4G architecture (HSS, MME, SGW, PGE, PCRF).

Rely on programming skills C, C++, Java, Linux to drive AI/ML analytics.

Apply working knowledge of private wireless network elements, including Radio network, Packet Core, IT networks & Security protocols. Perform software management tasks including software installation, commissioning, integration, verification and onboarding. Troubleshoot and perform corrective actions if performance is not meeting customer standards. Perform upgrade and maintenance tasks required to maintain the system. Conduct reporting of daily, weekly and monthly tasks as required.

• Provide technical support and problem resolution for incoming calls received via telephone, chat and email through remote support. Apply technical knowledge and expertise to operate and troubleshoot Betacom network elements.

• Apply understanding of packet sniffing tools including Wireshark and decoding and debugging call flows.

• Review and ensure that requests are properly logged, assigned, and responded to in a timely manner and according to agreed SLA's.

Leverage and contribute to knowledge base by recording issues, problems & faults and ensure issue resolution data is captured for future reference.

• Configure, deploy & support preventive actions. Apply knowledge of programming languages including Linux, Python, C. Apply knowledge of tools including Microsoft office, JIRA, Customer service portals.

Perform maintenance and push out patches as per client schedule. Software upgrades, loading minor and/or major patches that may be scheduled or ad-hoc using Go, Python, Linux shell script.

• Troubleshoot, install and repair 5G Networks on premise and cloud setup. Log into Radio, Core, IT and Security gateways, using software programs loaded on laptop.
• Apply understanding of networking, cloud-based platforms (including Azure, GCP, AWS) including knowledge of basics of cloud resources, understanding how to create/delete/modify cloud resources, start/stop/backup cloud resources.
• Support change request as per agreed SLA's.
• Monitor health and system alerts, and act accordingly. Includes resolving incidents and escalating as necessary.
• Explore automation opportunities for repeat actions, work along with AI Ops team to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Apply FCAP management and ITIL processes.

• Apply understanding of IT networking, cloud and application to understand how the Radio, Core and backend internet systems are connected to provide private wireless network services.
• Provide support 24x7 ops.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Applicant's experience must include:

• Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Minimum education and experience requirements:

Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related field or equivalent and 1 year of relevant work experience in the job offered or related occupation. Will accept applicant with any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
