An innovative mind with big ideas reign at ResMed Digital Health Technology (DHT)-Product Development. You will work in an environment filled with self-starters, highly engaged, collaborative, and creative product Engineering teams that make a difference. As a Software Engineer, you'll exercise judgment and handle ambiguity within the defined procedures and practices. Support the team vision and objectives within the product team.Build state of the art software that delights our customers. Passionate about experimentation with new tools and methodologies (full-cycle, full-stack, shift-left) to optimize our product operation model.

Our product provides digital capabilities to our providers and patients across the globe with a complete machine therapy lifecycle management. Enable advanced IoMT and analytic dashboards to provide near-real insights into machine therapy, settings, and diagnostic data.

Let's talk about the role

• Serve as a highly competent Engineer: in mentoring an intern and/or an associate-level Engineer on the product and technical domains. Work closely with Technical Product Managers & Delivery Managers on project estimation, planning, and triaging issues. Collaborate and align well within the team and with cross-functional teams.
• Apply technical knowledge: and understanding of enterprise system architecture and help identify dependencies and gaps. Ability to develop, deploy, test, monitor, and perform root causes analysis on multi-tier applications using various technologies and platforms. Assist with code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Be a quality & automation champion: adhere to test-driven development to develop automated tests and ensure proper test protocols (unit, integration, performance, security, CI/CD, end2end) performed. Ensure code is appropriately checked into the correct branches, pro-actively resolve merges, automated tests, and pipeline failures immediately. Be aware of the application metrics in production.
• Design: Provide recommendations to design, test plan, propose solutions, and seed new ideas. Assist in executing spikes, proof of concepts, and prototypes.
• Cloud Native Application: Develop applications that integrate with containers, modern IaaS, PaaS, and serverless services.
• DevOps: Support incident management, change management, production support as part of the full cycle team responsibilities. Use tools like (X-Ray, CloudWatch, DataDog, etc.) to isolate root causes of the incident.
• Operational Excellence: Develop applications with high fault tolerance, performance, zero downtime, reliability, scalability, and security. Perform root causes analysis of an incident and identify opportunity improvement.
• Release Readiness: Assist in generating and publish test, defect, traceability, and systems performance metrics. Takes product development ownership from coding to the production pipeline

Let's talk about you

• Experience in developing in various programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Angular, Bash, etc)
• Experience with developing in container technologies and AWS serverless services such as (Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda, Dynamo DB, API Gateway, S3, Fargate, etc.)
• Experience with messaging queues and notifications such as (RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS, Tibco EMS etc.)
• Experience with streaming technology such as (Kinesis, Kafka)
• Experience in continuous integration and deployment/delivery (CI/CD) with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform,CodePipeline)
• Experience in working with Relational Data Services (RDS), SQL DB, andNoSQL.
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with systems integration & performance test.
• Knowledge and experience in test automation with modern testing tools such as (Selenium, RestAssured, Postman, Jmeter, etc.)
• Ability to create task break down based on user stories and plan your work to meet team goals.
• Communicates clearly and timely when their work hits roadblocks or risks that need to be managed.
• Follow security best practices, coding standards in developing software.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with recent coding experience in Java
• At least 3+ years of professional software development experience, including with high-volume cloud native applications and services.

Desirable

• AWS certification like developer or DevOps is a significant asset.
• Experience with Terraform.
• AI/ML experience is an asset.
• Experience working in the regulatory medical industry
