The stage is set for video to take its place along side docs and slides as a mainstream mode of communication - but the tools are holding it back. Our five year vision is to build a tool that makes it as effortless to communicate with video as it with a slide or a doc, and add video to everyone’s toolkit.
About the RoleUntil now the Creator Economy has fueled our revenue growth and they love us. This word-of-mouth love is spreading to larger companies like Shopify and HubSpot. These Enterprise companies are the future of Descript.
We're looking for an Enterprise Advocate who wants to join our foundational team to sell Descript to these companies. You will have an opportunity to help shape our unconventional approach to software sales. For example, we don’t have commissions or quotas because it enables you to make decisions that are consistently best for our customers and aligned with Descript’s long-term success. All we are looking for is big thinkers with small egos who believe in our goal to build a uniquely impactful, long-lasting tech company.
What You’ll Do- You will provide calls and demos to evangelize, educate, and guide our large enterprise inbound pipeline
- You are responsible for driving revenue from new customers. We have a success team that drives expansion.

Descript is building a simple, intuitive, fully-powered editing tool for video and audio — an editing tool built for the age of AI. We are a team of 100 — with a proven CEO and the backing of some of the world's greatest investors (OpenAI, Andreessen Horowitz, Redpoint Ventures, Spark Capital). Descript HQ is in San Francisco, and our AI research team, Lyrebird, is based in Montreal.
Descript is the special company that's in possession of both product market fit and the raw materials (passionate user community, great product, large market) for growth, but is still early enough that each new employee has a measurable influence on the direction of the company.
