Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Enterprise Architect opportunity available based in Tampa, FL. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
- The Enterprise Architect researches, documents, and analyzes enterprise operational and system architectures for Department of Defense (DOD) combatant command headquarters, develops DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF)- compliant views and associated data, and works with functional subject matter experts to collect and describe operational and system processes, activities, and systems.
- The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for researching, documenting, and analyzing USCENTCOM architectures (including business, warfighting, enterprise, and intelligence processes) to identify mission capability gaps, overlaps, and shortfalls, and recommend architectural, IT, or process solutions as required.
- The Enterprise Architect shall prepare, staff, and publish formal Command architecture documents, produce architecture development plans and reports, and conduct strategic Architecture Branch staff actions (tasks, papers, briefings, etc.) as required.
- Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Required QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent and 6 years related experience. Master's Degree is preferred.
- Possess Formal DOD architecture development education and/or equivalent architecture development experience.
- All positions on this contract are considered deployable. Candidate must hold a valid U.S. passport and be willing to travel overseas in support of USCENTCOM mission requirements.
- Working knowledge of the DODAF and other key DOD architecture and strategic planning instructions. Formal DODAF training and/or equivalent development experience a plus. Working knowledge of DOD Architecture Repository System (DARS) is a plus. Exposure to Cyberwarfare concepts is a plus.
- Experience developing architectural models and products/artifacts for IT systems and processes. Specific experience with Sparx Systems’ Enterprise Architect and related tools a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint user capabilities to develop reports and presentations.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral briefs to senior management.
- The candidate must be a strong team player with strong customer interface skills.
- Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance and as a member of a team.
- Understand DOD language/terminology.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Joint military experience (joint task force headquarters and/or higher).
- Experience using the following tools: Sparx Systems’ Enterprise Architect and related tools, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience developing architectural models and products/artifacts for IT systems and processes.
- Experience in IT systems development, operations, and maintenance; or software design, development, and maintenance; or business process design and analysis.
- Familiarity with the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- Familiarity with recent and emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, Machine Learning (ML), Quantum computing, and/or Zero Trust (ZT) security.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
Office setting:
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
