Enlace Health is seeking an Enterprise Architect to be an integral part of designing and developing a strategic application suite for the next generation of our product. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with business and technology partners to design and implement distributed, microservices-driven enterprise SaaS software products. 

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned IT professional with a skill set which effectively integrates their expertise in cloud infrastructure, on-premise, software engineering, data and business processes.  This role will be instrumental in further evolving enterprise architecture processes to guide the technology direction in support of Enlace’s mission of Making Sustainable Healthcare Real for Everyone.  

Responsibilities:

• Understand the high-level system architecture/portfolio to ensure technology decisions relative to specific projects/products are in line with long term architecture roadmaps, and validate that solutions align with corporate standards, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure that program level Architecture Governance and Solution Design Authorities are in place and working.
• Communicate the Solution Architecture to the business and the technology functions.
• Technical management of the Architecture work products.
• Operation and oversight of the Architecture Conformance Process for technology projects within the program.
• Ensure the effective retention and sharing of knowledge, and reuse of components, across the program.
• Mentor team members in the design, integration, test, verification, and deployment activities that are integral to build and deploy capabilities
• Work with Product and Business Leaders to develop a go-to-market, delivery strategy, coordinating implementation, adaptation, and adoption processes. 
• Lead the technical planning, development, and deployment of novel architecture solutions to ensure the platform performs as expected, meeting or exceeding client requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the product, client success and implementation teams to ensure that technical solution proposals are cohesive and support the business needs while integrating all necessary solution components to affect the desired change. 
• Oversee/design documentation development and ensure the work products are consistent with the solution architecture and underlying intent.
• Understand and facilitate the architectural review process and engagement (e.g., ARB) to drive discussions regarding necessary modifications to project solution architecture to overcome design challenges or deviations observed in project design.
• Develop end-to-end solution processes by providing technical documents and estimates, cost estimations, implementation requirements, and alternative solutions to support the business case, as well as provide any necessary adjustments if re-architecture of solutions does not meet requirements.
• Design and implement architecture by preparing prototypes; coordinating with the Product team to develop technical requirements and implement production-quality solutions. 
• Actively translate and apply knowledge of recent research regarding product architecture and design to create, and implement best practices.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field from an accredited college or university or comparable professional experience.
• Experience with healthcare data, including familiarity with HIPAA and HITRUST regulations, and a working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models, alternative payment models (APMs), and medical economics, is required.
• Extensive software architecture and development experience with strong hands-on skills, expert level understanding of architecture and design patterns with a solid understanding of public cloud infrastructure services, and programming.
• Minimum 5 years of most recent experience in B2B, B2C or SaaS software product architecture and development experience with expert level understanding of product design and development principles.
• Significant experience in implementing enterprise projects as a lead architect covering technical and architectural assessments, services, analytics, security, testing and deployment.
• Proven experience designing and implementing production-support systems that enable 24/7 operation of a SaaS application including, logging, monitoring and alerting. 
• Demonstrated experience developing Python-based solutions leveraging for synchronous and asynchronous communications between components; including ReST- and microservices and client-side integration via JSON for interfacing and building required services (APIs) to communicate with existing product suite and Python-based microservices architecture expertise.
• Expert level understanding of data-driven applications, dynamic and event-based architectures.
• Advanced skills in both relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Couchbase, Redis) databases, in-memory caching and optimization.
• Expertise in building distributed scalable systems based on docker containers and orchestration through Kubernetes, Docker Swarm etc.
• Advanced knowledge of public cloud architecture and offerings (AWS required, Azure and Google Cloud), including the serverless architecture, enterprise service bus, scale on demand, DBaaS, IaaS, etc.
• Expert knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple timelines while completing tasks quickly within the constraints of project timelines and budgets.
• Familiar with UML concepts and Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and TDD 18. A client-orientation / public-facing applications approach to building solutions. 
• The ability to work in collaboration with others, under high pressure, developing new interfaces needed for the systems identified for Enlace.
