Enterprise Architect

KAI Partners is looking for an Enterprise Architect (EA) to evaluate, plan, execute, and continuously improve the system-wide architecture strategy to enable each client to realize its strategic plan and vision while having the flexibility to respond to future market and technological disruptions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of the client's technology portfolio's current state to make recommendations about how to achieve the desired future state.
  • Map information technology (IT) assets and business processes to EA governance principles to drive an ongoing discussion about business requirements enabled by technology.
  • Recommend policy changes and project work to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Blueprint application development to optimize the alignment of IT resources and assets to support operational systems.
  • Develop and architect strategies and design solutions that can scale across multiple domains.
  • Develop end-to-end enterprise architecture strategies to include business, infrastructure, information, and application architectures.
  • Define and document a unified EA framework and related standards for client adoption.
  • Develop and execute an EA organizational change management plan, which may include the development of training materials, communications, and an implementation plan.
  • Develop a high-level EA roadmap and budget to implement technology solutions at scale.
  • Promote alignment, standardization, and the reuse of existing IT assets, sharing common EA methods, agile software development, and quality assurance across the portfolio and ecosystem to increase efficiency, responsiveness, and quality solution delivery.
  • Evaluate standards adherence and provide ongoing coaching to improve the performance of the EA discipline within each client organization.
  • Correlate organizational strategic planning artifacts with business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Develop technical transformation strategy and approach to support organizational requirements.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently and to complete assignments within parameters of instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Work/Education Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or other related
  • 10+ years' experience performing Enterprise Architecture
  • 5+ years' experience working in information technology.
  • 2+ years' experience managing projects with multiple geographical business locations.
  • Experience with business reengineering projects
  • Experience managing or leading projects with a variety of stakeholders and multiple project dependencies.
  • EA certification (Preferred)
  • IT certification(s), ITIL (Preferred)
  • Understanding of the state project budget process. (Preferred)
  • Experience with projects supporting healthcare environments. (Preferred)
  • Experience deploying enterprise technology solutions within a healthcare environment. (Preferred)
  • Experience working with state staff and state management and executives. (Preferred)
  • Experience with projects, including large system replacements with multiple technologies and implementation phases. (Preferred)

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $189,000

The salary range for this role may vary depending on the specific geographic location where this position is ultimately filled. Several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, certifications, pay equity, and organizational needs, are considered when determining the posted salary range. In addition, eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
