SAP Enterprise Architect (Functional) is responsible for supporting cross-segment large SAP S/4 HANA based business transformation programs as a part of the Enterprise Architecture Team. The role combines knowledge of best-in-class SAP & other technologies, existing technologies and architecture, and the changing requirements of business users, to develop a strategic and architectural roadmap. The Enterprise Architect will need to have multiple domain knowledge, including business models, business capabilities, information/data lifecycle management, applications architecture, integration, and technology architectures, and collaborate with security architects.

The nature of this role will oversee one of several service domains including business capability, application rationalization, Application Future State and Application transformation future state. The successful candidate will also be able to collaborate with and work across related areas such as Security (including Identity and Access Management), related projects such as Digital Workplace, and overall Enterprise Architecture.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelors Degree in IT, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years experience in IT, including 5 years in infrastructure leadership roles
  • Liaise with business segment partners and CIO teams, end users to understand business needs, drivers and priorities.
  • Partner with external vendors and consultants to understand latest technologies
  • Partner with SAP and other external SAP and No-SAP vendors and consultants to understand latest technologies
  • Must have S/4HANA implementation or migration experience (at least 3 end to end projects) with overall SAP experience of 15+ years
  • Good understanding of business processes in SAP in Supply Chain and Finance
  • Can conduct client workshops related to SAP process simplifications in S/4HANA and/or technology/architecture roadmap
  • Good understanding of SAP Technical Assessment Tools like SAP Readiness Check, etc.
  • Detailed understanding of S/4HANA transition options and pros and cons

What will be your key responsibilities?

The role is a senior individual contributor that will interact with all levels of Mars IS, and business. The successful candidate will use their business acumen, technology expertise, and strong communication and influencing skills to:

  • Understand technology advances in the external environment, utilizing strong relationships with vendors and partners
  • Be conversant with licensing (including subscription models) and how best to apply them to maximize productivity gains while minimizing TCO
  • Assess Mars' existing technology infrastructure and architecture
  • Take a business focused and user centric approach to determine key technology priorities and strategy
  • Define Applications architecture and how advanced trends fit with newer application patterns.
  • Create the business case, program roadmap, and organizational processes to achieve the design
  • Work with technical teams, customers, and partners, to deliver the roadmap and build out the portfolio
