Summary of Role/Position

As an Enterprise Agile Administrator, you will work closely with the development team to ensure a high level of expertise in Agile methodologies and facilitate the implementation of automated processes to enhance the team's productivity utilizing Atlassian products. You will also be responsible for the administration and optimization of our Jira environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Agile Development Expertise:

- Collaborate with the development team to foster a deep understanding and adherence to Agile principles and methodologies.

- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Coach and mentor team members to improve their Agile development skills and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

- Promote transparency and effective communication within the development team, as well as with stakeholders and other teams.

2. Jira Administration:

- Configure and maintain Jira instances to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

- Create and manage custom workflows, fields, and project schemes to align with Agile development practices.

- Handle user management, permissions, and access control to maintain data security and integrity.

- Conduct regular Jira health checks and implement necessary improvements to optimize system performance.

- Manage Jira add-ons and plugins, ensuring they align with the team's needs and industry best practices.

3. Automation Implementation:

- Identify opportunities for process automation within the development lifecycle and Atlassian products.

- Implement and configure automation rules, scripts, and integrations to streamline repetitive tasks and reduce manual efforts.

- Monitor and maintain automated processes, ensuring they are reliable and error-free.

- Continuously explore new tools and technologies to improve automation capabilities.

4. Documentation and Training:

- Document Jira administration processes, best practices, and standard operating procedures for future reference.

- Conduct training sessions and workshops to onboard new team members and upskill existing ones on Agile development practices and Jira usage.

- Create educational materials and resources to support the team's Agile journey.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven (3-5 years)as a Jira Administrator, with expertise in configuring and customizing Jira for Agile development.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
  • Familiarity with popular Jira plugins and add-ons related to Agile development and automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with other Atlassian products (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools is advantageous.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position based on job experience, education level, global geographic region, etc: $70000-140000
