Enterprise Data Architect

Position Summary

The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for setting the strategy for the company's data architecture and assisting with providing technical architecture direction for delivery of the target state. By ensuring Coverys has a well-defined vision for our future data architecture state, the Enterprise Data Architect will help ensure that we are making consistent progress towards meeting that vision. The Enterprise Data Architect will apply their knowledge of good architecture practice, architecture documentation, and data technologies to comprehensively capture the company's current state holistic data architecture and oversee target state design and implementation. The role will involve collaborating with business and IT stakeholders at all levels to ensure the enterprise data strategy and associated implementation is adding value to the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap and vision for information delivery and management, including: the enterprise data warehouse, big data, BI & analytics, content management, and data management.
• Lead the Data Architect to design and deliver the solutions that fulfill the business information needs and align with the information vision and strategy.
• Apply business strategy while driving technology strategy, balancing short term and long term needs to ensure that the architecture can scale and evolve accordingly.
• Engage an end-to-end approach by connecting all the pieces of data to deliver the data while leveraging all available assets.
• Provide advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures to ensure schedule attainment, product development process adherence, and performance and budget targets are met.
• Understand the processes for extraction, transformation, and loading of data and collaborate to safeguard data quality.
• Manage technology solutions associated with data governance. Assess impact of data governance initiatives within information systems and quality initiative.
• Provide assistance during implementation of data governance tools and ongoing system enhancements.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies that will help our business realize the full potential of our ever expanding collection of data.

Education, Requirements, Competencies & Values

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field from an accredited college or university, required; Master's degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
• Minimum ten years of progressive information management solutions and end-to-end development life-cycle support and SDLC processes.
• Minimum eight years guiding a team of architects, engineers, quality assurance, and/or operations professionals through a project lifecycle.
• Established experience delivering information management solutions to large numbers of end users.
• Demonstrated understanding of enterprise data warehouse, big data, BI & analytics, content management and data management.
• Strong analytical reasoning and impact-focused while demonstrating big-picture thinking.
• Passion for innovation with a test and learn mindset.

Salary Range is $ 121,000-$ 164,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate including location, skill set, experience, qualifications and education.
