About This Job

The main purpose of this position is to assist, guide and shape Commerce Bank's digital products & services for the Consumer clients across online apply, desktop, and mobile platforms. In addition, this position will play a key role in: evaluating existing digital product offerings, strategic planning, and performing competitive analysis. This intern position will assist with:

Essential Functions

  • Ideation activities

  • Concept Generation activities
  • Facilitate Concept Evaluation activities
  • Partner with Marketing for digital product commercialization efforts
  • Facilitate End User Testing related activities in partnership with User Experience group
  • Contribute to the Product Development Process by identifying user stories to meet customer needs

  • Comply with Written Supervisory Procedures to ensure digital products are functioning as designed, accurate information is being presented, system issues are properly reported, and product releases are properly tested prior to a production release
  • Ensure project success through thorough user acceptance testing as well as coordinating communication, training and release schedules
  • Gather client feedback, recommend corrective actions to improve the client experience, and work with internal and external partners to deploy those recommendations to the market for client consumption
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Mostly flexible

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Genuine interest in product management, business analysis and software development lifecycle

  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to not only track and compile KPI data, but ability to prepare graphical and narrative explanation of key trends and pertinent information
  • Independent reasoning and sound judgment
  • Proven ability to manage projects, resources and collaborate with others
  • Proven ability to contribute ideas and recommendations to strategic initiatives

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, MIS, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 1 year of digital experience working to implement digital capabilities (i.e., desktop, mobile, etc.) across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) preferred
