SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and deploying integrated solutions aimed at modernizing, consolidating, and coordinating the independently designed applications to integrate on cross-platform solutions within one or more business segments. Responsible for integrating the system's network and server infrastructure for new and updated enterprise products and environments.
LOCATION
Onsite work from our Jacksonville, FL or Atlanta, GA HQ is required with flexibility to work remote up to 2 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determines the infrastructure needs for both new and existing applications, legacy systems, hardware logic, which may be currently operating on multiple platforms, work together to meet the new and emerging requirements of the business segment(s) and/or enterprise.
- Integrates the network and server infrastructure design for enterprise systems and applications.
- Supports self-service automation into organization's infrastructure and assists with multiple large-scale automation initiatives.
- Automates provisioning and managing Infrastructure components & cloud services.
- Documents how the infrastructure across multiple operating systems.
- Recommends methods to efficiently reuse existing components.
- Works with users to gather business requirements and translates them into technical / functional requirements to ensure successful and seamless communication among the various IT systems and application components.
- Assists and participates in component and data architecture design for the infrastructure build out and system integration.
- Recommends methods to efficiently reuse existing components.
- Assists in assessing current systems in adherence with best practices.
- Participates in component and data architecture design, software product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- Typically requires 6 years of programming/systems analysis experience with emphasis in applications and systems architectural design and development, database, and middleware technologies
- Advanced experience in network infrastructure such as Routers, Switches, and Firewalls along with other infrastructure such as servers and workstations
- Advanced experience working across multiple OS platforms, preferably Windows, Linux, or AIX
- Experience working with virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Virtual Box, or Hyper-V
- Experience with scripting/programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
- Working knowledge with Git, APIs, and IDEs
- Familiarity with IaaS and building automated reusable patterns and templates
- Understanding of PaaS, SaaS, and cloud technologies
- Working knowledge of orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience working with network protocols, TCP/IP, firewalls, proxy, etc.
- Understanding of encryption and storage technologies
- Experience building and supporting applications and infrastructure build and configuration
- Knowledge of the design and implementation of enterprise workflow systems and distributed architectures
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels inside or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
- Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units
