Job Summary

Responsible for leading functional teams through the planning, execution, delivery and analysis of high impact and highly visible program-level work efforts. This role ensures delivery of key business outcomes by developing marketing strategies, establishing measurable goals that cross-discipline teammates can clearly understand and align to, serving as an account manager to key stakeholders and creating effective, holistic marketing experiences that drive sales and build customer engagement and loyalty. This role is accountable for contributing to business strategy at both a divisional and enterprise level in a proactive manner that builds mutual trust. The consumer team defines and strategically positions the OneAmerica brand in the marketplace through the creation of holistic, measurable experiences promoted by the enterprise, the field and external partners.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops and executes marketing strategies with clearly defined goals, personas, journey touchpoints, tactical plan for marketing experience, tactical plan for distribution/enterprise deployment and KPIs and data analysis associated with each goal. (30%)
  • Leads cross-discipline teams in Accountable role for program and project-level work; aligns team members, creates clarity around business needs, negotiates with stakeholders and rallies the team behind clearly defined vision and collaboration to create exceptional results. (25%)
  • Writes, reviews, maintains and evolves consumer marketing experiences and associated collateral, including but not limited to: website content, promotional and lead gen landing pages, annual updates, print and web ads, social media, Annual Report, emails, brochures, fliers, etc. (20%)
  • Partners effectively with stakeholders on projects and large-scale programs. Maintains open and clear communication around work initiatives to confirm direction, ensure alignment towards outcomes and analyze and respond to metrics and milestones. (15%)
  • Identifies desired interests related to professional growth and seeks out experiences, formal learning opportunities and mentors who can help work towards those goals. Partners with leader, teammates and colleagues in EMC and the business to focus on specific areas of growth within role through stretch opportunities, increased business acumen and external learning sources like webinars, Ignite and industry publications. (10%)

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Finance or Business required, MBA a plus

Recommended Education and/or Certifications

  • Leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Understanding of competitive marketplace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to visual and design elements

Required Work Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in marketing roles, preferably B2C and/or digital-focused
  • Extra consideration given to candidates with expertise in social media, multi-channel marketing, SEO, and PPC
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 07A

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
