Enterprise MDM (EMDM) Business Analysts are responsible for assessment, improvement and governance of critical data assets related to NOV's customers and suppliers. Business Analysts are expected to engage with other application analysts, end users, data owners and third-party data providers to maintain and enrich critical data assets. Business Analysts will also identify opportunities to improve data quality and processes and work with business analysts and development staff to effect changes.
EMDM Business Analyst duties will include:
Communication with end users and third-party data providers to acquire information about NOV's customers and suppliers
Creation and enrichment of NOV's customer and supplier data with acquired information, using commercially-available and homegrown applications
Identification and reporting of key data metrics
Identification of opportunities to improve data quality and processes
Communication of improvement opportunities to the Enterprise Master Data Management leadership
Assistance to other EMDM Business Analysts in carrying out their duties, particularly those relating to data maintenance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 10+ years work experience
5+ years' experience in data analysis related to customers or suppliers, in fields such as customer service, supply chain, or compliance
Experience with Dun & Bradstreet Optimizer preferred but not required
Detail-oriented perspective and strong analytical skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to work alone and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organizational skills
