Enterprise Project Manager II, South Bend, IN
Job Description
Responsible for managing several medium to large projects using traditional and agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business units. Works to plan, organize, and direct project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to users.
The Enterprise Project Manager II (EPMII) will oversee all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The EPMII is accountable for planning and allocating resources, scheduling working sessions with the team, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Defines project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
- Develops detailed project plans when applicable.
- Organizes and leads project status and working meetings.
- Prepares and distributes progress reports.
- Manages project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
- Corrects deviations from plans.
- Performs delivery planning for assigned projects.
- Leverages organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
- Manages business unit expectations for project deliverables.
- Manages stakeholder communications.
- Ensures that all team members have clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Assists in evaluating new technology.
- Performs risk management analysis to reduce project risks with guidance from Senior Managers.
- Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
- Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Three (3) to six (6)+ years of banking experience and/or technology environment preferred.
- Three (3) to six (6)+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing medium to large projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams preferred.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
- Great balance of business and technical concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Great interpersonal skills including collaborating, and team building.
- Great analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
- Great knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
- Great oral and written communications skills.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
CERTIFICATION
CAPM or PMP Certification preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Minimal or occasional travel for meetings, projects or training as needed.
