Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Sales Executive to perform in all areas from prospecting, pitching and closing new business with Katapult's large enterprise prospects. The ideal candidate is a successful hunter who has a proven record of quickly forming strong relationships and navigating through complex organizations to close and launch deals. This is a remote, work from home position.This position is responsible for the sales of the organization's LTO (lease-to-own) product nationally, focused on selling to top ecommerce and omnichannel retailers, including those in the Fortune 500. The individual will work to achieve and surpass sales goals by landing new business opportunities with durable goods retailers, including furniture, consumer electronics, auto, appliances, home improvement and other categories. This individual will be self-directed and comfortable working with ambiguity in a dynamic start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop successful sales strategies including implementing multi-tiered approaches, establishing a wide network of contacts, defining measurable success metrics, developing successful campaigns, navigating conversations, identifying and staying ahead of risks, and accurately forecasting opportunities.
  • Drive merchant connection from first meeting to post-live.
  • Meet and exceed annual quotas by being accountable for activities that lead to revenue generation
  • Collaborate with and provide regular updates to Katapult Leadership on team activities, opportunities, and risks
  • Implement strategic planning, forecasting and ongoing prospect development, while maintaining a strong sales pipeline
  • Understand client pain points and how Katapult can help solve. Use financial tools including ROI models and deal structure to enable customers to build a business case for Katapult.
  • Develop and maintain executive level relationships to help drive sales activities
  • Manage multi-faceted, often lengthy deal cycles. Sell into and through complex organizations developing relationships with external stakeholders across finance, marketing and technology.
  • Keep merchants informed of product changes, services and other general information of interest to customers
  • Check on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining merchants and assisting merchants in attaining new accounts
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding products provided. Be the voice of the customer, providing feedback to Katapult's product team on merchants' solution and feature needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products, and competitors to support the identification of business development opportunities.
  • Represent Katapult at networking events, conferences and in-person meetings with prospects.
  • Maintain relationships with strategic retail partners to drive existing and new business
  • Collaborate with members of the Revenue team internally. Build strong internal relationships with product, technology, and marketing to capitalize on all available internal Katapult resources.
  • Other duties as assigned

What We'll Expect from You:

  • 5-7+ years relevant B2B Enterprise experience, specifically selling to Enterprise/ecommerce merchants
  • Strong sense of urgency for goals and professional achievement
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar sales targets
  • Experienced communicator with proven track record of Executive outreach, strategic problem solving, and close
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and uncertainty successfully for all parties for desired outcomes
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of building partnerships from scratch
  • Ability to handle critical conversations internally with reps and within client escalations
  • Strong belief in the Katapult mission and naturally puts the company and team first
  • Willingness and adaptability to do what it takes to build relationships and smart deals.
  • Ability to perform in depth research on prospects, and to maintain current knowledge of competitors of both Katapult and merchant prospects
  • CRM experience (Hubspot is a plus)
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Results oriented and great at multitasking
  • This is a fully remote role, however, our EAE will be willing to travel as needed for key merchant meetings and team meetings in Plano, TX or NYC.
