About the Role: 

This role will lead the operational security duties related to security tooling and MSSP facilitation as well as development of IT infrastructure strategy and roadmaps. The IT –Security / Enterprise Architect will work collaboratively with the Security & Information Technology leadership team and key business area leaders to manage Trace3’s security posture day-to-day and shape/drive future IT investments.

What You’ll Do:

Security Architect Duties

• Day-to-day security Operations – Responsibilities including:
• Primary liaison with Trace3’s managed security service provider
• Logging onto our security vulnerability logging consoles and actioning high priority vulnerabilities
• Liaison to our key security tooling vendors and ensuring proper configurations/patches are applied and maintained
• Initiate the Security Incident Response Team and Process in the event of an enterprise incident

Enterprise Architect Duties

• Understands current technology, recognizes areas of opportunity for functionality improvement or cost reduction, and develops high-level plans to deliver value
• Links corporate and department strategic initiatives to actionable Information technology investment roadmaps
• Communicates value of infrastructure strategies and roadmaps to IT and business leadership
• Works with IT and business partners to develop comprehensive business cases for IT infrastructure project investment
• Leads cross-functional teams to identify optimal technology solutions to solve business opportunities
• Ensures technical solutions are in alignment with department and corporate policies and industry standards and best practices
• Drives harmonization and standardization of IT infrastructure stack to deliver required capabilities, eliminate redundancy, and reduce costs
• Evaluates new technology, and understands how it can be leveraged to improve business processes
• Translates business and software requirements into infrastructure requirements and recommendation solutions
• Participates as a member of the security team ensuring all policy and practices are adhered to and in alignment

Qualifications & Interests:

• Information security experience to include knowledge of security event and incident management, security operations, and major security technologies
• Strong technical acumen in multiple security areas desired (vulnerability management, DLP, MDM/MAM, and Internet Content Filtering)
• Experience with security tools such as Netskope, Crowdstrike are a plus
• Strong technical acumen in multiple infrastructure areas desired (on-prem hosting, cloud hosting, network, telecom, desktop, collaboration)
• IaaS, PaaS, platform implementation and management experience. Microsoft Azure experience required, AWS and Google Cloud experience a plus
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement VM, storage, and database technology platforms
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement converged infrastructure and network technologies
• Extensive knowledge of developing Information Technology infrastructure roadmaps and plans
• Demonstrated ability designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate linkage between strategies and roadmaps
• Strong financial understanding of business and IT; able to assess financial implications of decisions and recommendations
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong relationship management skills, including team building, relationship management, negotiating, and conflict resolution
• Ability to influence and impart knowledge to senior IT and business management
• Ability to identify emerging trends in technology and applicability to Spectrum Brands
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and ability to explore new possibilities and approach issues differently
• Strong organization and time management skills
