Enterprise Systems Engineer

Flow Traders is looking for an experienced Enterprise Systems Engineer to join our growing IT team in New York. • Collaborate with global counterparts from the Enterprise Systems, Trading Infrastructure, Trading Operations, and Trading teams to manage the Virtual Infrastructure across multiple locations
• Ownership of the Virtual Infrastructure and related components with focus on performance and stability
• Design, deploy, maintain, and monitor customized virtualization and storage solutions leveraging modern technologies
• Maintain the US Virtual enterprise environment, including OS/application patching and lifecycle management, security vulnerability remediation, and disaster preparedness
• Manage and develop vendor and industry relationships to maintain Flow Traders’ cutting-edge position in enterprise technology

• VMware Technologies:
  • vSphere 8 (Preferred, 7 required)
  • VMware Site Recovery Manager 8.x
  • vSAN 7
  • vRealize Operations Manager 8.x
  • Horizon 8 (Preferred, 7 required)
    • UAG (Unified Access Gateway)
    • NVIDIA GRID understanding
    • NSX Advanced Load Balancer (A huge plus, but not required)
    • ControlUp (Preferred but not mandatory)
  • NSX (is a plus)
• Storage (SAN) Technology experience (Nice to have)
• Fabric Switch understanding (Storage Zoning and access) - (Nice to have)

• 5+ Years of relevant experience
• A BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Communication skills to effectively communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Creative thinking with the ability to develop innovate solution for complex problems
• English fluency required
• Proficiency in scripting languages (python) strongly preferred
• Prior experience with VMware operations automation and monitoring solutions strongly preferred
• Hardware knowledge about ESXi hosts (Lenovo M5, SR620, SR650, Dell740) preferred

When it comes to salary, Flow Traders uses reliable market research to create base ranges. Where candidates will fall within the range depends on a few different factors including but not limited to level of experience, location, and specific skill set.
 
We also consider ourselves one global team, and to demonstrate that, all employees are eligible to share in the company’s success through an annual discretionary variable remuneration allocated based on company, group and individual performance and contribution. 

Per NYC salary transparency law, the total compensation for this role includes a base of $115,000 to $140,000 plus annual discretionary variable remuneration.
