Entrepreneurship Teacher

Position: Entrepreneurship Teacher Rate: Up to $45/hour QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree required • A passion for education and a belief that your zip code does not dictate your destiny • Ability to reliably commute to building • Current FBI fingerprints, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assume personal responsibility for the academic progress of all students. • Document all lesson plans, assignments, rubrics, and other instructional materials and methods. • Use consistent school-wide practices and individualized methods to engage students in the classroom. • Virtual classroom management creates, monitors, and sustains a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standards. • Provide virtual structure in the classroom by developing and reinforcing school-wide rules and expectations. • Ensure smooth operation of all virtual classroom instructional functions without excuses or exceptions. • Develop engaging and interactive synchronous and asynchronous lesson plans. SKILLS: • Strong conceptual understanding • Ability to develop and use a variety of assessment data to refine curricula and instructional practice • Ability to evaluate academic achievement through detailed data analysis of student performance • Effective communication skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues • Ability to develop and maintain positive, strong virtual classroom culture • Strong technology skills and an ability to learn new programs PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to sit for extended periods while working. • Constant hand, finger, and arm use, and excellent eye-hand coordination. • Ability to hear clearly and speak intelligibly. • To occasionally function in activities involving walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing stairs. • To occasionally stand for extended periods. • Ability to see and perform visual activities such as closing paperwork, using a computer monitor, reading, and writing. • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. • Ability to come onsite for all required days - 30 days per school year.
