Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Design Strategist to be based in Houston, Texas.
This position is expected to begin in September 2022

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Translating complex issues and solutions into graphically compelling client-facing documents
- Business strategy, data analytics and operations planning
- Communication strategy branding and marketing
- Workplace strategy, planning and design
- Change management strategies and organizational development plans
- Experience in user research, design strategy, and space programming
- Design background in architecture, planning, interiors, product, or web design
- Bachelor's degree in, architecture, planning, design, or another relevant field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Technical Skills Range
Candidates will be expected to possess skills in one or more of the following:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, additional data analysis tools beneficial (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc)
- Revit or other space planning / design CAD systems
- Web based data analytics, visualization, GIS and presentation software
- Space programming, user research, design strategy and conceptual design
Candidates will be expected to possess as many of these attributes as possible:
- Highly collaborative, highly communicative creative team player
- Excellent presentation and communication skills - "Design Story Telling"
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, open, creative environment
- Ability to contribute to workshops, focus groups and presentations
- Critical thinking and persuasive writing skills
- Familiarity with research methodologies and processes
- Flexibility and the ability to work on more than one project in more than one team
- Relocation not available with position
- Portfolio of recent work preferred to be submitted
