The Opportunity: Your main assignment in this role is to provide a tier-one customer experience to a portfolio of large to medium-sized customer accounts. As a Business Development Associate, you will be working along side a Business Development Manager to provide operational support to both new and existing accounts. Some of the specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Growing and developing relationships with your portfolios’ partners, shippers, and receivers
• Effectively communicating with customers to understand their supply chain needs
• Completing all entry and scheduling of shipment orders
• Closely monitoring the booking of your shipments to ensure reliable transportation coverage •Reporting and resolving any transit issues or problems to appropriate parties
• Managing and updating all shipments within your portfolio
• Efficiently managing the flow of information across departments
• Collaborating in the overall growth strategy and improving operational excellence of each account with the Business Development Manager
