Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Developer/Analysts to write software for simulations, scripts to process data and develop optimizations in code for distributive and/or parallel processing in support of the Air & Missile BU. The position will require a knowledge of coding and an enthusiasm for learning. Candidates should be proficient in C/C++ and understand software development, software test, or software architecture in some capacity. Experience with system of system simulations is desired. The candidate will be required to execute existing models and simulations to support analysis against existing results. Qualified applicants will have good programming skills, be able to work independently, and take a proactive role to assure that task responsibilities are completed on schedule. The software simulation is developed using the agile process within a team which everyone is responsible for their assigned tasking.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience. ENTRY LEVEL position.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with C/C++, Java, or Python
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Excellent team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Desired experience:

• Modeling and Simulation architectures
• DoD software development
• Team-based Software Development Tools (Git, Jira, GitLab, etc.)
• Object-Oriented Design
• Software threading and network communications
• Multi-language programming
• Containerized software environments and applications

Position requires the candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
