Badger Meter's Software Engineer I role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in the water industryCollaborating with multi-discipline teams to develop, design test, and maintain high-quality software applications and systems. This role will be hybrid onsite in our downtown Milwaukee office.

Essential Job Duties:

• Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders (marketing, quality assurance, and tech support teams) to come up with the best solutions.
• Integrate software components and third-party programs
• Author automated unit, integration, and system tests
• Troubleshoot and debug existing software

Qualifications:

• No previous experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline with a strong focus and background in Mathematics, Statistics or Analytics.
• Advanced skill level in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
• Experience with MS Visual Studio, Python, C#, Java, and JavaScript
• 1+ years of experience in an engineering role preferred (Preferred)
• Experience with Elasticsearch, HTML, CSS, Pandas, AWS, TFS, React JS, GitHub, Jira, SQL queries and SQL Server preferred (Preferred)
