Entry to Junior Level Software Developer/Analyst

Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Developer/Analysts to write software for simulations, scripts to process data and develop optimizations in code for distributive and/or parallel processing. The position will require a knowledge of coding and an enthusiasm for learning. Candidates should proficient in C/C++ and have an understanding of softwaredevelopment, software test, or software architecture in some capacity. Experience withsystem of system simulationsis desired. The candidate will be required to execute existing models and simulations to support analysis against existing results. Qualified applicants will have good programming skills, be able to work independently, and take a proactive role to assure that task responsibilities are completed on schedule. The software simulation is developed using the agile process within a team which each individual is responsible for their assigned tasking.

Job Requirements

• P roblem solving skills
• C/C++, Java, or Python
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired experience:

• Modeling and Simulation architectures
• DoD software development
• Team-based Software Development Tools (Git, Jira, GitLab, etc.)
• Object-Oriented Design
• Software threading and network communications
• Multi-language programming
• Containerized software environments and applications
