Environmental Markets Research Intern

Sol Systems is seeking an Environmental Markets Research Intern to support our commodity trading desk. The intern will research, analyze, and produce reports on special topics in environmental commodities, supporting the team's fundamental supply/demand modelling and market coverage responsibilities. In this role the intern can expect to gain exposure to environmental products while learning market and economic analysis techniques.

The Environmental Markets Research Intern will be responsible for: 

• Performing supply-side market analysis
• Performing demand-side market analysis
• Maintaining, enhancing, and developing infrastructure tools and reports 

 A successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: 

• Interest in environmental commodity markets and renewable energy
• Experience with Microsoft Office; experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, and/or Tableau a plus
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong research skills
• Creative problem solver 

Location & Hours: This is a hybrid intern role that can either be based in our Washington, DC office or in a remote setting with an expected 40 hours per week. 

Commitment & Compensation: This is a paid internship. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
