Environmental Sustainability Director

Job Description:
The opportunity
Workhuman is seeking a passionate environmental sustainability expert to join our emerging environmental sustainability team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping our sustainability strategy and driving transformative change. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, executives and external partners to ensure our sustainability goals are established, met and exceeded. You will combine your analytical and reporting skills with big picture strategy and execution to advance sustainability program goals and objectives across the organization. You will develop a high-level roadmap with key milestones including recommending a plan of prioritized activities for disclosure against leading environmental sustainability frameworks, that will ultimately work towards achieving Workhuman's overarching environmental sustainability objectives.

• Excellent understanding of environmental sustainability frameworks, regulations and industry trends
• Excellent understanding of environmental sustainability assessments and ratings
• An analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Collaborative approach with the ability to build strong team foundation and collegial, reciprocal relationships across the organization
• Exceptional communication skills and presentation capabilities
• Subject matter expertise in carbon footprint measurement, reporting and frameworks

Achievements

• Demonstrated experience in environmental sustainability strategy development, implementation, and reporting
• Experience configuring reporting frameworks and indicator measurement methodologies in alignment with material topics, working group priorities, KPIs and reference reporting frameworks
• Demonstrated experience working in partnership with executive level leadership, ensuring visibility to individual obligations and deadlines related to environmental sustainability strategy

** This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in our Framingham office at least two times per week.
