Job Description

SENIOR CONSULTANT

ABOUT ENVISION CONSULTING:

We are a boutique consulting firm specializing in services to the not-for-profit sector. We
are based in Pasadena and work with nonprofit clients nationwide. With more than 100
engagements per year spanning search, strategy, and marketing engagements, we are
a small team dedicated to impacting the sector, one outstanding project at a time. We
are data-driven, technology-savvy, and growing fast. We’re running a high-energy
enterprise focused on business development and process design for non-profits in
critical leadership transitions. We build leaders in the nonprofit industry, which means we
need to be leaders ourselves – we’re nimble, we’re industrious, and we are always
building and innovating.

The Senior Consultant is a lead consultant for projects at Envision.  His/her primary
responsibilities are to run lead on our executive search and consulting projects; to
manage a portfolio of 10-15 projects; and to work with our internal teams to build
practices and coordination. This position also may be staffed directly on search and
strategy projects, working directly with clients.

THE JOB EXPERIENCE:

We are looking for exceptional leaders. That’s where you come in. You could run your
own consulting firm, or maybe you have thought about it. You’re a self-starter. After
years in the nonprofit space, you are comfortable leading a hiring process or leading a
complex project, from the initial zoom, to preparing decks, to interviews, research and
more. You’re more than a good delegator; your work is backed up by meticulous
planning, documentation, and outstanding reports and presentations. You are a team
player, expected to come into the office and play an active role in building our brand and
culture.
Senior Consultant is the title for our in-house nonprofit experts. They’ve done it all, from
holding a leadership position at a nonprofit organization, to leading their school’s annual
silent auction. They’ve become an accidental expert in best hiring practices, and they
have a knack for hiring the best people – and how to find them too. They are the leads
on search and strategy projects at Envision. They earn business and run projects, not
only serving as the account manager for each project, but also writes the agendas,
schedules the next meeting, and taking careful notes, making their core deliverable
client satisfaction.
