Epic IT Director

Summary

As the Director over Health IT Education, this position is responsible for oversight and coordination of education and training programs, projects and initiatives for Epic and related Health IT systems. This Director reports to both the VP for Health IT and the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO). The Director is responsible for planning, implementing and/or evaluating defined programs/projects across JHHS. This position evaluates effectiveness of education programs related to orientation, training and continuing education of Health IT systems. The Director modifies education programs, as needed, based on evaluation data and input from clinical and operational leadership. This position participates in quality monitoring and performance improvement initiatives with creation and development of appropriate and timely education/training. The director serves as resource for Directors, managers, and clinical/operational leadership in regards to system education and program development.

Education & Experience

• Baccalaureate degree, in computer science, business or clinical related field required. Masters Degree preferred
• Minimum 8-10 years project management experience
• Previous staff management experience required
• Experience in running a large project from a Project Management Office perspective or managing a large project team in a large health system environment
• Certification in project management preferred
• EPIC experience preferred

Required Licensure

• Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Maryland, DC or Florida
