Enterprise Project Management (EPMO) - Project Manager

Summary:

The EPMO Project Manager works with the organization to provide project management support, governance, reporting and leadership. They will work closely with Segment leadership and business partners to align projects with company wide strategic goals.

This role will be responsible for leading key initiatives and matrixed teams that have a critical impact on company results. They will drive performance with regular communication, collaboration, progress tracking and follow up. The role may also have responsibility for the quality of work and project performance of any direct reports.

The EPMO Project Manager will help develop and implement standardized processes, tools, documentation and reporting that will support project management work throughout the organization.

EPMO Project Managers are seasoned project management professionals with diverse project experiences, in terms of complexity, scope, and strategic importance. The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically, manage short term and long term objectives and be ready to jump into tactical details as needed.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  • Define and drive best practices, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to establish a stable framework that supports project teams and stakeholders to successfully deliver projects
  • Collaborate with functional leaders and key stakeholders in defining, aligning and executing projects and resources to corporate and department strategy
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives for critical initiatives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility
  • Manage risk and compliance across projects and process initiatives, performing risk management to minimize potential impacts and creating mitigation plans
  • Use data and information to make timely decisions, seeking help and guidance when needed
  • Provide regular project and initiative health checks to all stakeholders, leveraging reporting to increase visibility of project statuses and leading key management activities advising project sponsors or senior leaders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive plans and documentation to plan, direct, monitor and coordinate project management activities to ensure that objectives are accomplished on time and on budget
  • Provide consistency in applying project management methodologies throughout the project life cycle
  • Proactively review and interpret performance against project plans and standards; managing reports on project performance, changes, enhancements, scope variations, and other related matters
  • Act as a leader and change agent by demonstrating business knowledge, operating autonomously, engaging with senior leaders, and motivating others to perform at their best
  • Support the professional growth of fellow project managers by providing informal leadership, guidance, and mentoring if needed
  • Facilitate relationships between business groups, promoting diversity of thought and establishing a reputation for collaboration, openness and empathy

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management or relevant business experience

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in project management software such as Workfront, Planview, Monday
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization, planning, and analytical skills
  • Capability to resolve conflicting matters
  • Strong change management acumen
  • Experience leading matrixed teams and assignments
  • Progressive Project Management responsibility and expertise
