Summary
Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System Air Operations, Oklahoma City, OK.
The selectee of this position serves as an Equipment Specialist (Aircraft). You will be responsible for refining and augmenting existing maintenance, inspection, training, and troubleshooting practices to ensure optimal aircraft performance and longevity.

May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Acquisition Certification for Contract Officer Representative Level III Certification.
Qualifications
1. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include:
- Identifying trends or weaknesses in aircraft maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting activities.
- Developing supplemental aircraft maintenance, inspection, training, and troubleshooting procedures for Boeing 737-400, 737-700, and 737-800 aircraft.
- Inspecting aircraft maintenance activities to ensure compliance with 14 CFR.
- Serving as a Technical advisor for strategic decision-making by interpreting aviation directives, maintenance policies/procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Selective Factors:
Must possess a current Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) Mechanics Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Ratings.

- Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations
- Writing: Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.
- Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
