Equity & Inclusion Relationship Manager
Job Description
As the Equity & Inclusion Relationship Manager, you will serve as Lead and liaison for Guardian's Employee Resource Groups ("ERGs") in providing ongoing guidance on governance and alignment with the organizational strategic priorities though ongoing discussions, bi-Annual ERG summits and active engagement with ERG Leaders & Executive Sponsors.
This role requires a collaborative leader who is comfortable interacting and partnering with colleagues at all levels. The ability to influence actions and outcomes, often without authority, is essential to the success of this role given its impact both within the Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion team as well as more broadly across the entire enterprise.
This leader will report to Guardian's Head of Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.
You Will
- Serve as Lead and liaison for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
- Provide thought leadership, guidance and coaching to US ERG leaders and ensure consistency of approach across the US and India based ERGs
- Facilitate connecting ERGs to partners internally and externally to help support and amplify their work
- Build relationships with product development & product enhancement areas to support efforts to ensure our products speak to and address the needs of consumers across various identities.
- Collaborate on and lead efforts to leverage equity and inclusion synergies across Guardian's Corporate Impact and culture efforts
- Partner with the Field D&I lead to identify opportunities to collaborate & broaden synergies with home office and the field
- In partnership with the HR Talent partners, work across the organization on identifying equity and inclusion opportunities across non-HR functions (communications, marketing, strategy, etc.)
- Identify, guide and activate internal equity & inclusion champions to help amplify the team's messages
You Have
- 5-7 years of experience working on topics, policies and practices within equity and inclusion with a focus on ERG management & timely execution
- Success and impact in this role requires proactivity, skillful multi-directional influence and advising
- Self-starter and skilled in functioning effectively within some level of ambiguity and change (SAA)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead without authority
- Strong skills in building and executing on a strategy; fifty-thousand foot view and boots on the ground skills and energy
- Proven organizational, analytical and program management skills
- Solid active listening skills with strong empathy and curiosity to understand and respect various perspectives
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Insurance Industry experience a plus
Location
- Hybrid role - 3 days in office, 2 days WFH - Preferred Location: Hudson Yards, NYC with flexibility to work in Stamford, CT or Holmdel, NJ.
Travel
- Travel - up to 20% occasional travel to various US Guardian offices
Salary Range
$126,970.00 - $208,600.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
