ER Tech

Reporting to the Nursing Director of Emergency Services, this positionis a non-professional care giver who assumes responsibility for a variety of tasksfor a group of patients.

Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

1. High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
2. One year of recent experience in an acute care setting preferred, and/or Emergency Department experience preferred.
3. Completion of medical terminology course preferred.
4. Computer experience highly desirable.
5. Completes splinting competency and demonstrates proficiency within 3 months of hire.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1. Current CPR certification required.

2. MAB is required to be completed on the first day ofwork. (Grandfathered: existing employees must complete new requirementsby 6/9/2025.)

3. Current California EMT or Paramedic license required.

4. Successful completion of an arrhythmia recognitioncourse within 6 months of hire.

5. Successful passing of RCH basic arrhythmia recognitionexam required within 6 months of hire.
